Welcome to The Woman in the Wheelchair

An honest and funny personal account of having my identity completely redefined after life changing injuries.

As a newly injured paraplegic, it has quickly become apparent that life rolls on and using this blog, I hope to remind others in a similar situation that it is okay to feel however you feel. And it is okay to take your time grieving and processing this tragedy, despite the world subliminally pushing you forwards to move on and be ‘happy’.

I will talk about lifestyle, disability, politics and beauty. I may even share some funny stories.

So, take a look around, have a read and have your say in the comments!

  1. I arrived here through a newspaper I read. Really loved this words:
“I hope to remind others in a similar situation that it is okay to feel however you feel. And it is okay to take your time grieving and processing this tragedy, despite the world subliminally pushing you forwards to move on and be ‘happy’”.
Time is yours! The most important thing is that we accompany ourselves and hold our own hands, I learned it as well.
    Thank you for sharing!!
